Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a motivated intern to support initiatives in the cost modeling space. This role offers hands-on experience with enterprise tools and data workflows, contributing to high-impact projects within the CLARITY program.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building and refining cost models using the ABP-ECM tool
• Support the transfer and integration of dashboards from Tableau to Power BI
• Contribute to various ongoing projects related to cost analysis and data visualization
• Organize and maintain datasets for modeling and reporting purposes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and validate data

Experiences/Education - Required

Degree Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering or Data Analytics

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including formulas and pivot tables
• Familiarity with data tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
• Strong data organization and management skills
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Clear communication and documentation abilities

Experiences/Education - Desired

• Coursework or experience in finance, data analytics, or operations
• Exposure to enterprise modeling tools such as Power BI, Tableau, ABP-ECM , or other cost modeling platforms

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
