Job Description

Our client, a healthcare organization in Philadelphia, is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect critical systems and sensitive data from security threats. This role involves monitoring network activity, investigating incidents, and implementing security controls across the enterprise. The position reports to the Chief Information Security Officer and works closely with IT infrastructure and compliance teams.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are preferred. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week on-site at their Old City office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and analyze alerts for potential threats
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Implement and maintain security tools including firewalls, SIEM, and endpoint protection
• Develop and update security policies and procedures
• Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
• Provide security awareness training to employees
• Document incidents and prepare reports for leadership and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or HIPAA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar certification preferred
