Paraprofessional - Special Education
Location: Braintree, MA
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 2025-2026 School Year
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation: Up to $26/hour, based on experience
About the Role
We are seeking experienced Special Education Paraprofessionals to join our team in the Sub-Separate Program supporting elementary students with significant autism. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a highly supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized instructional support under teacher direction, including:
Discrete Trial Training
Pivotal Response Training
Natural Environment Teaching
Task-analyzed chaining procedures
Continuous data collection
Assist students with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and mobility.
Support safety management and physical intervention using the district's Safety Care program (certification required).
Reinforce learning in individual and small group settings.
Collect and maintain behavioral data; implement positive behavior supports (e.g., token economy systems, point charts).
Requirements
Paraprofessional experience in a special education setting.
Comfortable assisting with toileting and other ADLs.
Experience with data collection and behavior support strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and specialists.
Safety Care certification (or willingness to obtain).
