What To Expect
We are seeking a skilled Payment Operations Analyst to join our Finance Team at Tesla, focusing on accounts payable & T&E processes. This role involves analyzing payment activity, invoice data and expense information, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial transactions, and supporting key performance indicators (KPIs) through detailed reporting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional payment process teams to scale operations, drive efficiencies, and maintain compliance with corporate policies and controls in a fast-paced, growing environment. What You'll Do Analyze payment activity and invoice data to identify trends and ensure accuracy for accounts payableSupport accounts payable and T&E KPIs by developing ad-hoc reports and reconciling aging reportsUtilize core risk and payments experience to enhance infrastructure, tools, systems, and data integrityDemonstrate expertise in process design by identifying gaps, driving efficiencies, and implementing improvementsCollaborate with payment process teams to determine requirements for scaling operationsExecute daily payment transactions, monitor flows, and perform account reconciliations while resolving discrepanciesDevelop and maintain escheatment processes and reporting for unclaimed property while ensuring SOX 404 compliance
What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Business, or equivalent experienceExperience with ERP systems, with AX Dynamics experience preferred5+ years of experience in accounts payable payment processing2+ years of experience in project management within a finance operations environment with cross-functional teams1-2 years of experience in travel & expenseProficient in global banking payment methods and terminologyAbility to communicate complex situations and findings clearly across different organizational levels
