Salary: $78,000 - 94,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors degree with 2+ years of pertinent experience, OR Masters degree with 1+ year of relevant experience, OR Associates degree with 4+ years of applicable experience. Six years of directly related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret clearance is essential.
- Certification in Security+ CE is required.
- Practical experience in supporting Incident Response operations.
- Hands-on knowledge of STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) compliance.
- Familiarity with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.
- Understanding of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Availability to work on-site five days a week.
- Capacity to participate in shift work.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operational functions of the SOC, ensuring effective detection, analysis, and response to security incidents on both unclassified and classified networks.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance security measures, incident response abilities, and threat intelligence.
- Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to unclassified and classified information security.
- Engage in responding to security incidents, collaborating with unclassified and classified network teams to counter threats and recover from breaches.
- Gather, interpret, and distribute threat intelligence across both domains, enabling proactive defense strategies.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of the security posture for both network types, evaluating security events and alerts to pinpoint potential threats.
- Deploy and manage security tools and technologies for monitoring, analysis, and defense of the SOCs networks.
- Create documentation for cybersecurity and RMF processes.
