Job Title: X-Ray Technician (0–2 Years) – Contract
Location: Astoria, NY
Type: Contract
Pay rate: $65/hr
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday (37.5 hours/week)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in Astoria, NY.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate radiologic and imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them appropriately and explaining the process.
Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff using protective techniques and exposure controls.
Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures.
Process and review radiographic images to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Document procedures and patient information accurately in medical records.
Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs.
Manage supply inventory and maintain adequate stock levels.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
Stay updated with regulatory continuing education requirements and industry standards.
Participate in team efforts and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Licensed Radiologic Technologist, New York State Department of Health – Required
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology – Required
Competency in performing diagnostic imaging procedures – Required
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills – Required
ARRT Certification – Preferred
0–2 years of related experience – Preferred
